I'm doing it again. god save me. I sort of stopped posting last time. My bad - I got to 26000 words, which is still pretty good going. But then stuff happened.

Anyhoo, I'm giving it another bash. This time, I have 2 projects on the go: one is a re-imagining of a story I began last year, but its not going to count since I'm using part of the opening and this is AGAINST THE RULES! lol. Still, I really want to get a draft done.

The second is something I thought up yesterday, and am trying not to even dream about, lest I disqualify it as well.

Both of my stories involve pirates, one involves dragons. I want to get at least one of them to 50k, and I would dearly love for it to 'win'.


Neither have titles yet, so for posting here I'm simply hiding them under cuts of 'Mary' and 'Alice'. I'm probably not going to post every last bit - I want to save a little mystery. But then, maybe I'll just decide 'who cares?' :)

So, anyway. In one week's time, I'm off.
